Welcome to the ECOWA web site. Our company evolves over the years from a small start-up company named E-Covima in 2004 to dedicate our energy to promote the exotic high margin fish fillets either fresh or frozen. Starting up with the most difficult and challenging task in the fish trade, we brought in our early beginning fresh chilled Nile Perch fillets by air line containers wise like LD3, LD5 … from the Lake Victoria area countries for the retail Super markets chains in Canada. Then we were the first ones to promote the Vietnamese Pangasius by 40 ft reefer maritime container. We sold the Pangasius either IQF or re-fresh using our exclusive REFRESH technology know-how. During the 1980 -2018, we introduced successively the exotic coral fishes such as Red Snapper, Grouper, Parrot fish, Cobia from Vietnam then from the Pacific Islands, the Japanese Oxygenated fresh chilled Tuna Loin from the Philippines, the Japanese Hamachi sold exclusively to the High end Restaurants and Sushi bars market niches in Quebec and Ontario.

We then expand our sales with the Sushi products lines for the specialty grocery stores by working with our partners importers of Japanese Sushi, Chinese and Korean products. Over the last 5 years, strengthen with our knowledge for the Quality of Fish and seafood preservation, we work with different engineering groups over the world to develop and promote the introduction of Ultra Low Temperatures (’’ULT’’) Freezers to insure the freshness and high quality of our Tuna, and high price seafood items.
